My boyfriend have seven dogs. I alway find it so hard to imagine how he could keep house clean and odor free. I've tried to spend night at his house once, it was crazy since he have queen size bed and allows all dogs to sleep on the bed. He even have a rottiweiler, doberman, boxer, and a husky along with three medium or small mixed dogs. How could he sleep with all of them in the same bed and manage to keep his place so clean?
How do someone manage to keep so many dogs?
Ask him.
I've got five dogs (at the moment, one is going in for guide dog training in December and then I'll be down to four), but the two bigger dogs (Labs) sleep in crates. The three little dogs have a big dog bed they share, but often times they wind up in bed with me, especially in the winter when it's cold. Good foot warmers. ;-)
I personally brush them out regularly and Swiffer and vacuum to keep up with the dog hair. We have this little spot cleaner to clean up any messes. Nature's Miracle is the best to remove odors and stains.
Reply:He probably has dog sitters while he cleans or has merry maids come in. Either that or he is just amazingly good at cleaning.
Reply:They do not have clean sense
Reply:LOL; I am a breeder and have 13 dogs; 8 cocker spaniels; 2 rottweilers; and 3 German Shepherds. I also have a queen sized bed and usually have a german shepherd and 3 or 4 cockers all on it at any given time. I have had 8 on the bed at once.
As long as they are housebroken it's pretty easy to keep the smell down; of course mine go in AND outside; soy tarts work great also! Also if it ever starts smelling like dog clean the carpets/floor in white vinegar and that does the trick.
It sounds like I'd get along great with your boyfriend! Want to swap! lol; mine doesn't like all my dogs.
Reply:haveing dogs doesn't mean things have to be dirty or smell bad he must be good at housework, lucky you :)
Reply:Well, you better hold onto him because it sounds like he is a good housekeeper.
Reply:I have 2 Large Boxers and 5 puppie boxers and our house doesnt smell
Reply:If he's doing all of that cleaning on his own, I'd say keep him just as long as you possibly can, because he's a catch.
He also must have amazing skills at training dogs and spends a lot of time with them outside. I imagine he has a fairly large yard where he keeps them when he isn't there.
All I have to say is that I'm incredibly impressed and if you get tired of him, let me know....
Reply:I bet he hires a maid one day before you go by his house.....
Reply:just wait until the dogs get older...
Reply:It's easy, I have 9. Make sure everyone is housetrained, vacuum daily and feeding the dogs a good diet, keeping them healthy and there is no dog smell at all.
