What's the deal with "Ladies Night" anyway?

To me, Ladies Night is all about women getting in free, having a good time, and getting treated like queens. What about the man???

Do men ever get special treatment over the woman?

Are there places where they cater to the man like where they let men get in free and women have to pay? To me, Ladies Night is about favoring women over men, and I don't think that's right. So do they have special treatment for the guy to compensate for "Ladies Night"?

I'm a guy and that's the main reason why the idea of "Ladies Night" upsets me. I'M A GUY, SO WHAT ABOUT ME THE? IT'S NOT FAIR.

What's the deal with "Ladies Night" anyway?
Dude. Ladies Night IS for guys...Hello!!! Then you know where all the chicks are! That is the ONLY reason for ladies night- to bring in more men.
Reply:i agree. the area i live in has no gay bars and only one club even worth going too. Why cant they have a guys night??? id like to not have to pay $25 and get 2 free drinks too....
Reply:you drink too much stay home more often and you can make your own rules
Reply:This is a blatant advertising ploy used by bars and nightclubs especially, to entice women into their establishments. The ramifications of this ploy are many, but mainly by selling women drinks at half-price, women will enter the particular establishment in preferance to another, the word on the street will spread that women frequent a particular establishment, thereby enticing males to choose to spend their money at that particular establishment, and the bonus result is that it is less expensive for a man to buy a woman alcoholic beverages that will lower her defenses, and befuddle her good judgement and sense, making her vulnerable to wanted or unwanted sexual advances. Men lose their hard-earned money, women lose their reputations, and bar owners grin from ear-to-ear, and laugh all the way to the bank. Our social mores at this time don't have the reverse as the accepted norm, because men who accept gifts from women are considered gigolos, kept men, and fill in some adjectives that question your masculinity, so I seriously doubt you will enjoy special treatment any time soon. And I agree with you--it's not fair-- to men, or women, either.
Reply:if there were fewer or no "Ladies' Nights", then a lot of women would stay home...then only men would be at the clubs and bars...so in a way, "Ladies' Nights" are FOR men, not against men.
Reply:It is just an advertising gimmick. If you advertise on the radio and say a particular night is ladies night, guys will follow looking for girls. Guys drink more and spend more money. Giving "ladies" their own night is just a cheap ploy to get more money. But it works. If you hear a place advertising a men's nite, most single guys will stay away because of the whole "gay" thing.
Reply:Ummmm, are you talking about ladies night at a gay bar? Most gay bars around here are mostly men, have nightly specials and no cover charge. The one night a month they have ladies night, it's an expensive cover charge, expensive drinks and the guys still come in and take up most of the bar space anyway.

So what are you pissing and moaning about?
Reply:You know how ethnic people get special treatment becuase they feel like they are less than white people?

Same for the sexes.

Women are beneath us, so just toss them a bone from time to time.
