Queen Question?

The rock group Queen issued albums called "A Night at the Opera" and "A Day at the Races" Where did their names come from?

Queen Question?
They are named after films starring the Marx Brothers.
Reply:I believe they are titles of movies starring the Marx Brothers
Reply:movies by the marx bros.

What do you think of Queen covers?

Why do people insist on trying to pull off Queen songs? It's just wrong! Take last night for instance I was out having a few drinks with a friend and my all time favourite song came on - Don't Stop Me Now - sung by MCFLY! WTF?

Am I on my own here? there are certain people that you just dont try and rip of - like Madonna - it's never going to be as good as the original so just don't do it!

What do you think of Queen covers?
Most people will know the songs, I myself grew up listening to them. So no matter how obscure the band are everyone will know the lyrics. Hence people will sing along and be tempted to buy it. Good call on the McFly, I know it was for charity but Fredie will be turning in his grave.
Reply:Some covers can be passable, but then there are the right cr@p covers. Then again it may encourage people to listen to the original and then realise how bad a lot of covers are.
Reply:in a way its a tribute to Freddie mercury and queen that these songs can be covered and still be hits and the fact that young groups like mcfly cover these is keeping their music alive and makes them credible to the younger listeners
Reply:they can try as hard as they want to cover any song, but the best are the origs with Freddi
Reply:Im with you 100 per cent theres hundreds of songs that other

groups should keep there voices off has they are not good enough to cover them.
Reply:I hate any cover of any song, people these days are just too lazy to write their own material and just want to get rich by singing other peoples songs.
Reply:dont kno
Reply:The thing with cover versions of Queen songs is that nobody will ever be able to beat Queen at their own game, that is to say no pop or rock band will be able to do the same songs in a similar style as well as the originals were done.

In have heard a lot of Queen cover versions and the only ones that are good are ones where they take a Queen song and do it in a different way, like the reggae version of breakthru which is good as it is not just a poor copy of the original but a re-working, and by a similar token the version of Bohemian Rhapsody played on the violin by Lucia Micharelli is just magnificent because it does not attempt to copy but instead ininterpret the original to provoke a different reaction.

There is nothing wrong with covering a classic song so long as you add something new and valid. I don't think it is really ever good just to attempt to remake the same song or film someone else has already done, to have any merit you have to make something different from it. For example, the Cardigans did some Black Sabbath covers - they were not at all heavy metal and were pretty decent (not as much my taste as the originals) and a valid and worthwhile project to have done.

I can see why specific cover bands like the Bootleg Beatles (a Beatles coverband), or the Wall (a Pink Floyd cover band) are popular as they are basically as close as you can usually get to seeing the originals live, but live music is very different than CD's and radio play.

So in short I totally agree with the principle that there is no point just copying a song someone else has done, especially if you are not going to do it that well!
Reply:Ah, it's just a lazy way for bands to get a hit.

There should be a law that musicians are not allowed to cover the Beatles, Motown, etc. Just like you said: it will never be as good as the original.
Reply:I don't know but I did actually think that the Flaming Lips rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody" was actually really good.

It's call paying tribute darlin'. Queen was a really influencial band and other's who cover their songs are only paying tribute to their genius and popularity.

Yea, some covers really do stink, but not all. Try to keep an open mind.
Reply:Yeah i know what you mean because on my 18th birthday i went clubbing for the first time while dancing to cheesy dance songs i heard baywatch i was shocked when it was a remix from some **** people with a band name like "sunblock" i just sat down angry and watched people dance... i was like Great.... another song has been ruined!!

Also when you watch pop idol or x-factor when they sing some of the greatest songs ever and it gets ruined by tone death bastards who think they are going to get far on a programme called X-Factor.... haha they haven't entered the real world...
Reply:listen to Fatbottom Girls by Hayseed Dixie and i think you will change your tune

PUCK

How now, spirit! whither wander you?

Fairy

Over hill, over dale,

Thorough bush, thorough brier,

Over park, over pale,

Thorough flood, thorough fire,

I do wander everywhere,

Swifter than the moon's sphere;

And I serve the fairy queen,

To dew her orbs upon the green.

The cowslips tall her pensioners be:

In their gold coats spots you see;

Those be rubies, fairy favours,

In those freckles live their savours:

I must go seek some dewdrops here

And hang a pearl in every cowslip's ear.

Farewell, thou lob of spirits; I'll be gone:

Our queen and all our elves come here anon.

PUCK

The king doth keep his revels here to-night:

Take heed the queen come not within his sight;

For Oberon is passing fell and wrath,

Because that she as her attendant hath

A lovely boy, stolen from an Indian king;

She never had so sweet a changeling;

And jealous Oberon would have the child

Knight of his train, to trace the forests wild;

But she perforce withholds the loved boy,

Crowns him with flowers and makes him all her joy:

And now they never meet in grove or green,

By fountain clear, or spangled starlight sheen,

But, they do square, that all their elves for fear

Creep into acorn-cups and hide them there.

One Night With The King?

Does anyone know where I could find the Necklace Queen Esther wears in One Night With The King... Or One Similar?

I Really Need to Know! If It's similar than that's fine too

One Night With The King?
I do not think that you will be able to buy the necklace that Queen Esther wore in "One Night With The King".

But you should check with your local Christian bookstores. Various Christian bookstores will often sell jewelry. Look in the Yellow pages in your phone book underneath the categories of "Book Dealers - Retail" and "Church Suppliers And Servs". Then call or visit your local Christian bookstores to see if they sell the necklace that Queen Esther wore in "One Night With The King".

I wish you Good Luck!

Reply:You can purchase a replica of Queen Esther's Necklace online at any on line jewelry store. Sets with matching earrings are also available at some sites. Just do a search on google for "Queen Esther's Necklace."

How to decorate a red wall bedroom?

I have red walls with black carpet. It is a small bedroom and I would like some wall art. Should I stay with red and black wall art or go for a different color, If so what ? The approximate dimentions of the room is 20' by 10' all I have in the room is a queen size bed, a short dresser and night stand.

How to decorate a red wall bedroom?
hi, love the colours in your room! look at these websites for some ideas. If you like abstract look for Alfred Gockel, a lot of his posters have red and black in them along with other gorgeous colours and would certainly compliment your room!

I am thinking you are quite a vibrant person by the colours you have, and think a bit more of a different colour would look smart!

Reply:Go to Art.com,click photography then click black and white photography. You could do a collage of different size pictures or choose a few the same size and place them in a row.You could add a few small mirrors or one large mirror to the 20' wall, this will make the 10' wall appear longer.
Reply:I think decorating with black and white photographs with black frames would look good.
Reply:I'd add at least one additional color in your art work. Just make sure to use the same color/style frames and it will come together.
Reply:Go to IKEA they have awesome stuff that would make it easy for you to figure out-you can look online and see what they got.

What did you think of the Bafta last night?

Dame Helen Mirren has added the best actress Bafta to her long list of awards for The Queen, which was also named best film at the London ceremony.

British film-maker Paul Greengrass was named best director for United 93.

What are you views on the Bafta’s last night?

What did you think of the Bafta last night?
I think that Forest Whitaker deserved the best actor award as Idi Amin is a much more difficult and complex character to play than James Bond, for starters he was a real person whereas James Bond is open to as much interpretation as you like. Daniel Craig is much tastier though ;-), and he made a fantastic job of playing Bond.

I'm happy that Helen Mirren won best actress although I think that Judy Dench would have been just as deserving of the award.

Lastly did anyone else think that Eva Green looked like Edward Scissor Hands. What was she thinking wearing her hair like a birds nest.
Reply:I thought it was pretty good, I was sorry that Judy Dench didn't get *Best Actress* although I think Helen Mirren is brilliant too.
Reply:It was good. I love the Fact the Dame Helen won. Also, thrilled for Jeni. Hudson. Very happy.Hope the get the Oscars too...
Reply:It was good, though I preferred Steven Fry as a host.
Reply:I wanted Cars to win the animated category. OIther than that it was good. I felt sorry for Damian Lewis when his joke fell flat. Dont worry Damian, i laughed.
Reply:On the whole I think the awards went to the right people/films.

The Last King of Scotland is a superb film and Forrest Whittaker is a worthy receipiant of best actor.

I'd question whether Paul Greengrass deserved best Director - maybe I'm being cynical but I just feel that film is getting awards through subject matter rather than being a good film.

In answer to other comments about Daniel Craig - he didn't deserve best actor. Likewise Casino Royale didn't deserve best film. There's lots of flaws in it.
Reply:loved the final speech of the old editor lady/special bafta award. forrest though he absolutely deserved best actor gave a boring speech. helen was good and friendly. united 93 deserved to get baftas cos it was an excellent simple movie too.

watched most but not all of it on tv
Reply:i enjoyed waching it, i was disapointed daniel craig didnt get anything!! bbut forrest did deserve the award too so ........... but i love dan he is the man!!! lol
Reply:I would have preferred Daniel Craig to have been chosen as best lead actor. I think "The Last King of Scotland" is overrated. "Casino Royale" and "The Queen" should have won more awards instead of just one each. Glad that Jennifer Hudson still shone in the BAFTA and great decision on BAFTA's part not to have chosen Eddie Murphy as a nominee for best supporting actor. That's another overrated actor this year. Glad to see United 93 win the biggest share of awards.

Help with daughter waking during night?

ok heres my problem. my daughter will be 3 in december and she is still waking up during the night. once. and she wants to sleep in our bed. she never sleeps through the night. how can i get my 3 yr old to sleep through the night in her own bed? our queen size bed isnt big enough for her and my husband plus i would like to get a full night sleep for once. and she is still on the bottle because she refuses to drink out of a cup. which i have every kind you can think of. she will only drink juice so i water it down with 6 oz of water and 2 oz juice. wont drink milk, kool aid, nothing. ive tried it all. i think i have tried every trick in the book with everything. anyone with any suggestions please let me know. i'll try anything again. ive done the taking bottle away but she just screams and screams. i cant handle that as i have an 11 month old as well. i end up having to give it to her so she will stop. please help!!!!!

Help with daughter waking during night?
This is hard, I know, but let me share a few things I've learned as a parent.

First, your daughter will continue to scream and scream because it works. She will get what she wants if she screams long enough. The problem is that she will scream longer than you can take it.

It's a hard age to break the bottle habit. It would have been easier if you broke her of the habit when she was a lot younger. In any case, you must break her of the habit now because I let my daughter keep her bottle and pacifier (and then her fingers) and it deformed her teeth and bite.

I saw parents on TV who had a great way of getting rid of the bottles/pacifiers. They told their kid that he was a big boy now and that other babies needed the bottles/pacifiers. They tied them up in a little bag with helium balloons and let the boy take it outside to let the bag go up in the air. He waved good bye to it.

It helps to make drinking from a cup seem like a privilege and a big kid thing.

Then, when the crying begins...don't give in NO MATTER WHAT. That is the hard part but let me tell you, if you give in, she will keep screaming next time. A child is smart enough to stop eventually when all the screaming in the world doesn't get what she wants.

I made it clear that if my child screamed, he/she got nothing. They learned to calm down and use their words to ask nicely, then I gave them what they wanted. Of course, you can't give the bottle, but you can give juice in a nice cup.

Invite another young child, or better several kids, over who uses cups to model this new grown up behavior for your daughter. Think about weaning your 11-month old off soon (as long as your 11-month-old is on solid foods, you can wean the bottle).

Good luck.
Reply:Don't take this the wrong way, but you are enabling your 3 year old. You need to stick to your guns. First, stop the bottle immediately! Even with small amounts of juice, your baby could get bottle rot and lose her baby teeth and even damage her adult teeth. She could also end up having to have braces for an overbite. She is being stubborn about using cups. If all she is given is a cup, then she will eventually give in. She is old enough to understand it if you tell her she can no longer use a bottle because she is not a baby. If she wakes up and gets out of her bed at night, just put her right back in. If she gets up again, do it again and again. She may cry really loud, but will eventually learn. It may keep you, your husband and 11 month old awake for a few nights, but isn't it worth it for her to sleep in her bed after that? Where does your baby sleep? If it sleeps in your bed, you are only creating another difficult child and that must be stopped right away too. Like I said, stick to your guns and use a little tough love. It works.
Reply:First deal with the bottle habit. It will be hard especially since you have an 11 month old. This is what I did.. we went cold turkey I had her throw away her bottles! Done. Never to return, there is no option of going back. Yes, it will be hard, she's 3. It's easier if you start at a younger age.

Next, when she comes to you in the night, your bed is never an option. You return her to her room without talking no snuggles nothing, if she gets up you up her back and sit in her room quietly till she falls asleep again no conversation cuddles, etc. Very robotic feeling and you will lose a lot of sleep but every night you do that you slowly sit yourself closer to the door next your just outside her door and finally back to your bed. When she figures out she's not getting to sleep with you she will stay in her room. My doctor told me to do that and it was hard but it worked. Be strong! Good luck!
Reply:when u take the bottle away keep it away.

it is hard but she will learn.

threaten to take away something she likes, and follow through with it.same thing with the bed problem.

hope i helped.
Reply:Let her go with you to the store and pick out special cups. My little OCD 2 year had the hardest time excepting that milk could come out of somthing other than a bottle. She now has different cups for milk, water, juice, and the ocasional treat of carbonated flavored water. What worked best for us was buying cups with her favorite characters on them and snow globe goblets from the Disney Store. Straw cups are favored over sippies by most toddlers. You should also start offering you 11 month old water in a sippy cup with her meals.

If she still demands the bottle try giving her one with a newborn nipple and just water in it along with the sippy/strw cup. Eventually she'll get frustrated with it's slow flow, and go for the sippy. Try giving her foods that make her thirsty at first like nilla wafers, and the offer her only the straw/sippy with water or milk.

As for ending up in your bed at night, ask her why she doesn't want to sleep in her bed. If she is scared of the dark, get a nightlight, if it's monster get her a special stuffed animal that scares monsters away. She could simply be thirsty, offer her some water out of cup( or maybe a bottle at first) and put her back in her bed. Explain to her that mommy sleeps in mommy's bed and that (insert child's name here) need's to sleep in (insert child's name her) bed. Establish a set bedtime routine and make sure that you are putting her to bed before she gets overtire. Being overtired can cause restless sleeping and nighttime waking.

I would reccomend waiting until the weekend or a non-work night to start this as it won't be a restful experience at first. She should get the hang of it after a week or so if you're consistent. Good Luck.
Reply:okay lets begin Have you tried putting her bed next to your? that could help and is she taking naps in the afternoon? well if she is she needs to stop becasue that is probably one of the reasons she is not sleeping another thing you have to try to get tired so get her to play a lot keep her active through out the day that way at night she will be very sleepy and sleep through the night and stay in her bed also you could try a night light something princess kind that might motivate her

with her sippy cup here are some tips

What should I do if my child refuses the sippy cup?

Babies have all kinds of reasons for rejecting sippy cups. And of course, there's no law saying he ever has to use one. Some babies graduate from breast or bottle straight to a regular cup. If you'd rather your baby learn to use a sippy, though — for convenience, or because you think it'll make a good transition for him — moms have used these tactics successfully:

• Dip the tip of the sippy spout into the milk or juice and then give it to your baby. He may just need a hint!

• Show your baby that the spout is like a nipple (it needs to be sucked on). Try touching the tip of the spout to the roof of his mouth to stimulate his sucking reflex.

• If he drinks from a bottle, give him half of his formula in the bottle. When it's empty, switch to the sippy cup for the second half of the feeding (continue to hold him as for bottle-feeding). Or put a bottle nipple (without the bottle) in his mouth and after he starts sucking, replace it with the sippy spout. Some moms have even had success telling their baby it's time for the "ba-ba" — and simply substituting the sippy for the bottle.

• If your baby sucks on the sippy spout but doesn't get anything, try taking out the valve that controls the flow (if his sippy cup has one of these and it's removable). It'll be messy at first, but once he learns to handle the cup you can put the valve back in and he'll probably be willing to suck harder for his drink. Or make an extra slit in the valve to allow the liquid to flow more easily.

• Work backward. Teach your baby to drink from the sippy without the lid first. Put just a teaspoon or two of liquid in at a time and help him raise the cup to his mouth. After he gets the hang of that (and sees that there's liquid inside the cup), then put the lid on (without the valve, if there is one). Finally, put the valve in and let him take over.

• Offer your baby a straw. Some baby cups come with built-in straws, and some babies find these easier to use than a spout (though others will look at you, clueless). If your baby does get the hang of sucking from a straw, he may then be better able to handle sucking from the spout.

• Switch beverages. Some babies will drink water or juice — but not breast milk or formula — from a sippy. Sometimes it's a matter of association (milk belongs in a bottle or breast). Some moms have had success waiting to introduce the sippy cup until their baby is ready to start drinking whole milk (at age 1).

• Show him how. Get yourself a sippy and let your baby see you drink from it. Or have a sibling drink from a sippy in front of the baby. Sometimes all it takes is a little sucking noise (make it when you give him the cup) to inspire a baby to start sucking. One mom sat down with her cup of water and her baby's sippy cup of water. She drank from her cup, then helped her baby drink from her cup. Then she drank from the sippy and offered it to the baby for his turn — and voila.

• Shop around. There are all kinds of sippy cups, with all kinds of spouts. There are even bottles that transition from a regular bottle to a bottle with handles to a sippy cup with a lid and straw to a regular toddler cup. Sippy cups aren't too expensive, so it's worth letting your baby test-drive several if the one in hand isn't working. (And as he grows to toddlerhood, you might let him pick out a brand-new kind himself, just for fun.)

What not to do

Using a sippy cup may seem like a piece of cake, but there are some pitfalls you'll want to avoid:

• Never let your child take a sippy cup of juice or milk to bed. The sugars can pool in his mouth and cause terrible tooth decay. The same goes for walking around with one in hand, nursing it for hours on end.

• Thoroughly clean the cup (especially the lid and plastic stopper) between uses. Liquid can easily become trapped in the nooks and crannies of a sippy cup and valve, leading to the growth of bacteria and mold. If you can't wash a sippy cup right away, try to at least give it a good rinse. If that's not possible, drain any remaining liquid and take it apart. Periodically check your lids and valves for damage or mold.

• Don't give your baby cows' milk in the sippy until he's a year old. (Formula or breast milk is fine.) Between 8 and 10 months, he can start drinking non-citrus juices, but wait until he's a year old to introduce citrus drinks. Choose pulp-free varieties because the pulp in orange juice and other citrus juices can clog the plastic valve.

• Don't expect the sippy cup to be the magic answer to weaning. For some babies the sippy simply replaces the bottle and presents you with another weaning challenge. Still, many parents find it more acceptable to see their growing child with a sippy than a bottle in hand. And if used properly, a sippy cup can be less damaging to your baby's teeth than a bottle.

• Don't refill the sippy cup with fruit juice or milk throughout the day. If your baby has had his quota of juice or milk, then refill his sippy with water when he's thirsty.

How much juice/milk/water should I give my baby each day in his sippy?

If your baby starts using a sippy cup before he can drink juice or whole milk, simply give him a portion of his breast milk or formula in the sippy cup each day. If he's thirsty between feedings, refill the sippy with water. When your baby starts drinking non-citrus juice (not before 8 months), give him no more than half a cup of juice a day, in addition to his formula or breast milk.

Once your child starts drinking whole milk (at age 1), experts recommend no more than 24 ounces of milk and one cup of juice per day. More than that and you're asking for cavities and a toddler who's too full to eat at mealtime. If your child gets thirsty after he's had his quota of juice and milk, simply fill the sippy with water
Reply:Hi! I was wondering - is she potty trained? It was hard for her when new baby came I am guessing and now the baby has a bottle and you want to take hers away from her.

Use the "big girl" technique and she will give up the bottle and say it firmly. This is your new big girl cup- bottles are for babies! Let her see you throwing bottle in the trash.

IT WILL WORK if you don't have "poor baby body language."

Same with the bed- she is in her big girl bed and baby is in her bed and Mommy and Daddy sleep in their bed. DO NOT ALLOW HER IN YOU BED!

If she cries. sit in a chair by her bed but don't talk to her- or look at her --it is just to let her know you are there.

You will have to put her in her room each time she comes in your bed until she gets it. It is hard but think of how great it will be to get a good nights sleep. It will work. Good Luck
Reply:She only screams because she knows if she does that you'll give in. You have to take it away and keep it away it will be rough at first but eventually she will learn. Take the bottle away and give her the cup, if she doesn't want that than don't give her anything. Once she knows the cup is her only option she'll use it.
Reply:you'll have to deal with it, in a coule days, youll be glad!!! My girl went to the bottle by taking away 1 bottle every few days.I started with midday, then added morning bottles...GONE!

the last to go was ngiht time..then ya gotta throw them away.that way it will force you %26amp; her not to have them..NOW, as far as the sleeping thing...stay in her room with her when she wakes up.tell her daddy said no, she has to stay in her bed..blame it on him!..lol...try that %26amp; gradualy it will work.mY girl , now 5 had the same problem...get this..My hardest thing was the pacifier..we call it gabby...anyways, i couldnt take it away.she LOVED it, sucked 2 , sucked one %26amp; rubbed one on her ear..LOVED 'em...well...we came home one day..dog had chewed them up!!! omg, we were upset.but it helped get her off of it!!...hhmm...got a dog, maybe he could destroy the bottles..hint hint...if they arent there, she'd have to take a cup , wouldnt she?...or someone could

steal them...try those ways..DONT BACK DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:first, figure out what is making her wake up, like if she needs to go to the bathroom or if she gets cold or whatever. if you can't fix that problem (don't give her any thing to drink after 7 or 8, or make sure she's comfortable), then you need to make her understand that she stays in her room, ie at night she doesn't have permission to be in your bed. with the bottle, start by limiting the bottle to twice a day and then a couple weeks later to once a day. the worst thing you can do is get frustated with her, just be patient and loving and understanding without giving in to her fits. Good luck.

What was that song on last comic standing 9/19 sounded like Queen but isn't?

It was played during the Ant montage on last night's episode. It's not Queen, but a new band and the guy singing reminds me of Freddy Mercury.

Grace Kelly by Mika.

He gets the Freddie Mercury comparison a lot.

What did you think of 'The King of Queens' series finale last night?

I only saw the last fifteen minutes. I'm glad that they waited until the series was over to have the babies. I wouldn't let Arthur anywhere near a child.

What did you think of 'The King of Queens' series finale last night?
It really seemed fitting for the show as a whole and I enjoyed it about as much as I did all the other episodes. In other words, not my favorite but it had its funny moments.

Two things I didn't care for - Carrie getting pregnant. C'mon, just too "perfect." Would have been better had they just adopted the baby from China. Also, why did they leave Holly hanging with no closure and so sad?
Reply:i was a little dissapointed but it was good, buy teh way what happenned to holly
Reply:It was about what I expected. Not the greatest, but good enough. I think the series went on a little too long anyways.
Reply:I got bored and changed the channel.
Reply:Loved it, made me sad, cause I am going to miss them. Best sitcom of all time. I cried happy tears. Patti Schuman

I salute doug, carrie, spence, Deacon, arthur, kelly, Holly, danny, spences mom, and dougs mom and dad, lou, mr prizan, doug and deacons boss, buddy in early episodes, italian. thanks for the happiness and thankyou all for making my son laugh at down times in Iraq. Patti schuman
Reply:I thought it was good. I am going to miss the show. I thought that it was great that Doug and Carri got back together and that they went to China to get there little girl. What a great way to find out they are pregent. I shed some tears. I also felt so bad for Arthur......not really he is a big pain in the butt.... Though I new he would be moving back in for the end. Great Show.....
Reply:it wasnt that great i like the when arthur walked in after a year and said it didnt work out
Reply:I really liked it, how Doug and Carrie finally have children to bad they could not keep it going!! I will miss watching that show! But man what happen to poor Holly???
Reply:It was painful to watch - the producers let the series go a little too long, and I'm very glad it's over.
Reply:I watched it, only because I was so hoping they were going to get a divorce. Doug was not at all funny drunk, and there is no way they could immediately fly to China that night and pick up their baby the next day. Furthermore, I hated the ending where she wound up being pregnant so now they would have two kids. Then it fast forwarded to a year later - yikes! This show was classic because it was about a childless couple - I don't like how society always manages to dictate that all married couples must have children at some point. Children often times make things worse, not better for couples who are already having struggles. That being said, I'm glad it's done.
Reply:actually this last season hasn't been all that great, but the very end of the finale was pretty good - showing old episode clips %26amp; the one year later bit

maybe if they had kids sooner they could have kept going longer
Reply:Hated it! It was long, drawn out, boring - the best part was Arthur marrying his real life wife - that was cute. Carrie and Doug desperately should've separated and divorced -it was long overdue time! I hated how they were going to adopt and then she got pregnant - disgusting crap.
Reply:I enjoyed it.
Reply:it was bittersweet for me. i liked how you got to see all the regular characters in one place (the wedding) and i liked how doug and carrie seemed to unravel but were able to save the marriage. i thought it was funny at times, painful at times, but overall entertaining. i think the finale honored what was great about the show. portraying a realistic marriage. neither one of them are perfect. but they love each other. and ultimately that's all that matters. i will miss this show. but i look forward to seeing these great actors in their upcoming projects.
Reply:I'm happy that Carrie and Doug finally had children!

The only thing I didn't like was Arthur moving back in. Through the whole series, he was funny for about a minute, but the writers went way over the top with his annoyance, and made any scene he was in just plain painful to watch.

I agree the show ran much longer than it should have, but I liked it nonetheless.
Reply:I thought it was lackluster

King of Queens is one of my favorite shows

the ending was a little to dramatic they should have done something simple the ending of everybody loves Raymond

regardless I will continue to watch the reruns every day on TBS and CW50.

BTW....Kevin James, You better make more movies!
Reply:The best part was the clips of the old episodes at the end. It was better back then.

On CBS ,last night on king of queens was that the very last episode forever?

i havent been watching it this season because i was too busy, but i had just turned on the tv last night and it was on ,luckily it was right when it started. but anyway i love that show i was just wondering if that was the last episode forever.if it it is i will be very sad.

On CBS ,last night on king of queens was that the very last episode forever?
Yes it was all over now, but you can still watch it on TBS
Reply:Yes...sadly the series ended last night. However it will continue to come on in syndication!!!
Reply:Yes, I believe that was the end of it, but they'll more than likely show reruns
Reply:That show was still on? I had no idea. I thought they ended it when Leah Remini got pregnant. She never recovered after her baby. Her baby fat remained for the longest time.
Reply:Yes, unfortunately.
Reply:I LOVED THAT SHOW TOO AND YES IT WAS THE LAST EPISODE! IT WAS'NT VERY GOOD THOUGH, THEY COULD HAVE PUT MORE THOUGHT INTO IT, THAT'S OK CAUSE I'LL STILL WATCH THE RERUNS!

How we Built Britain programme last night....?

I am trying to find out the name of the house that was once the biggest house ever built in the Elizabethan times, but now there are only 2 archways that remain.

According to the programme it was built by a wealthy man who swore he would never live in it until Queen Elizabeth had visited - he spent all his money building it, died pretty much poor and the queen never visted....

How we Built Britain programme last night....?
Holdenby Hall :

"Holdenby Arches"

"When Sir Christopher Hatton built Holdenby Hall in Northamptonshire to receive Queen Elizabeth he made it the largest private house in England. He moved an entire village, so as not to spoil the Queen’s view of the countryside. Dedicating it to her he refused to live in Holdenby himself until the Queen had visited."

"Today all that remains of Holdenby are two elegant arches that used to lead into the courtyard. Everything else has gone. And the terrible thing is Queen Elizabeth never came here. Hatton died penniless because he'd spent so much money. He was childless and unmarried. A terribly sad end to the story of a man who just wanted to please his Queen."

"How we built Britain" : http://www.enjoyengland.com/ideas/herita...

"Hatton built Holdenby - the largest private house in Elizabethan England - with 123 huge glass windows around two courtyards, specifically to honour his beloved Elizabeth. Hatton refused to live in the house prior to the Queen's first visit."

"Hatton died a few short years after the completion of Holdenby, bankrupt and childless. The house passed to James I, who used it as a place of entertainment. For his son, Charles I, it became a prison. He was held here for 5 months in 1647 after his defeat in the Civil War. The King plotted to escape but Cromwell sent Cornet Joyce with 500 soldiers to remove him to safer custody and eventual execution."

"After the Civil War, the Palace was sold to a Parliamentarian, Adam Baynes, who reduced the house to a single wing. After the Restoration in 1660, it reverted briefly to royal ownership."

Reply:It started with an H, I remember, and I think it had 3 syllables.
Reply:It certainley was interesting, however I was more fascinated by the 3 sided house built as a codex for Catholics.

Sorry cant help with th name, if those where the archways to the courtyard, it definatley was a BIG house.

How did the show The King of Queens end? I missed the last episode Monday night?

Carrie %26amp; Doug were going to get divorced.

Carries dad was going to marry that broadway actress, but she backed out when she found out he was NOT gay, so he married Spences mom.

Doug was going to divorce Carrie because she did not get rid of the apartment in the city.

While at the wedding, Carrie got a picture of a baby that was ready for adoption in China.

She hid Dougs passport in the vegtable drawer in the refrig, cuz' she figured that Doug would never look in there.

Deacon found Dougs passport.

Carrie %26amp; Doug were on the same flight. They made up. They adopted a little 4 day old girl. While there, she found out she was pregnant.

They fast forwarded a year later and they had the baby, plus the little girl they adopted, and her dad walks back in and says, "It didn't work out".

That was the final episode in a nutshell ;-)

How did the show The King of Queens end? I missed the last episode Monday night?
Everybody died, it was very sad.
Reply:First of all, Arthur ended up marrying Spence's mom instead of Eva. In the begining of the episode Doug and Carrie decide to get a divorce in the middle of Arthur's wedding. Then they find out that there is a baby girl available in China, they are still fighting so Carrie hides Dougs passport so he can't go to China. As Carrie is getting settled in her seat on the plane you see Doug lean forward from the seat behind her and compliments her on her attempt to hide the passport. She asks how he could have possibly found it in the vegetable crisper when he didn't even know where the crisper was. He said he was making BLT's and thank God Deacon knew where the crisper was.

While on the plane, they started talking about the root of their problems and they clear everything up and get back together. They get their little girl, and while in the hotel room with their new daughter in China, Carries finds out she is pregnant. Then they cut to a scene about a year later. Doug is sitting on the floor of the living room playing with the older baby. Carrie is tending to the other, both babies start crying. Arthur walks in the front door, suitcase in hand. He bellows "It didn't work out!" and storms to the basement. Leaving Doug and Carrie staring wide eyed after him, holding 2 screaming babies. That was the final scene, Life goes on in the classic Heffernan/Spooner family style.

Then they did a montage of scenes of Doug and Carrie's highs and lows over the years, while playing a great song "Milk and Honey" by "A Million Billion" When the montage ends they show a black screen with the words written in white "Thanks for the ride!"

You might be able to see the episodes on CBS.com

I missed the final episode of King of Queens the other night. Is there any way I can watch it online?

cbs.com should have a place to view it. I watch alot of cbs shows online after they have aired. Less in the way of comercials, and I have a 19 inch flat screen monitor, so the quality is pretty goodf. Try going to their website and looking there.

I need to find a hotel in new york that is a reasonable price that has 2 dbl/queen beds. Please Help!!!?

My best friend, father and I are planning a trip to New York the beginning of September. I can't find a hotel for around $200.00 a night. When I do they have twin beds. Not what I'm looking for. Has anyone stayed in a at least descent hotel that had double or queen beds. Even a roll away will work. I'm gettting SO FRUSTRATED. UGH

I need to find a hotel in new york that is a reasonable price that has 2 dbl/queen beds. Please Help!!!?
I don't know what you have in mind when you say a "decent hotel", but here's a list of 69 hostels in NYC. They range from places only an 18-year-old backpacker with exceptionally low standards might consider ... all the way to pretty darned nice. And they're all a lot less than $200/night. (Even if you need 2 rooms, the total will probably be about that much or less. For instance, Jazz in the City on the Upper West Side has twin rooms with private bath for $55. You'd need 2 rooms, but it'd still only be $110.)

If you're coming to NYC as a tourist, you're probably not planning on spending much time in a hotel anyway -- you want to be out and about as much as possible, right? -- so one of these places might fit the bill for you.

Reply:Try the Super 8 Times Square. Two blocks from T.S., Rock Ctr. and subways. I stayed there last year. While not the Ritz it wasn't too bad. The elevator is small and slow, but hey, it's NYC. Sure there are some bad reviews of this place, but you can't satisfy everyone. I've heard reports of bed bugs. I didn't experience that, but once again, it's NYC.

There's also a Comfort Inn 1 block away that I hear isn't too bad.

Check out the link below. This will give you traveller reviews of anyplace you want to go. It's nice because you get the real deal from people that have stayed there, not what the hotel wants you to hear/see. Be sure to check the candid traveller pics as well. Search for other NYC hotels too!! Good luck and have a good time!!

P.S. - check the Carter on Tripadvisor.com. You'll think twice about that one.
Reply:I really don't think you can get that for 200 bucks more like 400...either stay in NJ or take the twin beds
Reply:the carter hotel, in times square its on 43rd bet 7th and eight i have paid 116 for the night, check in is @ 1 and check out at 9 i think, its not the prettiest place but its clean and it has hot water, not to mention, location!

I am trying to plan a night out for me %26amp; my fella on the Queen Mary. I was just on their website and couldn't decide if I should make dinner reservations at Sir Winston's or Tibbies. I've never been to any of them so don't know which one is good! Anyone seen the cabaret show and ate at Tibbies? Any good? Is the food at Sir Winston's good? Oh, has anyone also been to Vamp on the Queen Mary? Suggestions, please!

Thanks!

im trying everything to get away large pores pimples and discoloration now i have to dael with dark circles under eyes and wrinkles around my eyes to im only 16!!!!!!!!! i use proactiv then after cocoa butter for scars and every other night queen helen mud mask am i doing somthing wrong what can i do any suggestions and i cant see a doc my dad says our insurance dosent cover it and money is kinda tight right now so any thing you can find from like drugstores and pharmacys thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

My body is awesome!!! but what can i do to make my face look the same???????
If you have really bad skin (which I do not know from your description) you could convince your Dad to let you see a doctor: it could be that your body has a hormone imbalance, or that something else is wrong, and that your face is only showing symptoms. So, leaving it untreated could actually lead to more problems.

A different strategy would be not to focus on your face too much. Maybe you are over treating it, and the skin gets more sensitive.

Try drinking lots of water (could relieve dark circles)

Get enough sleep (ditto)

Get exercise (walk, run, do Tai-Chi)

Take time to unclutter your mind (meditate, look up something spiritual)

and above all

stop worrying - that will make you look relaxed and laid back and will naturally help you smile. A smiling face is always beautiful.
Reply:Wrinkles will never go away -you are stuck with those. Just about everything you are doing is wrong, but since your body is SOOOO awesome, you can probably make it on that.

Sorry honey, I have very little empathy for people who lack any humility. I know exactly what you need to do. Some of the posts here are close. What a bummer that you can't enjoy a great 16 year old body because of your face. BTW large pores don't ever go away either. Maybe there is some kind of plastic surgery.... but I haven't heard of it.

here is the important part...WHEN YOU BECOME PRETTY ON THE INSIDE%26lt; YOU WILL BECOME PRETTY ON THE OUTSIDE!!!!!! -try it? can't hurt...it's free! And I do genuinely feel sorry for you. Maybe it is not to late. Pretty is, as pretty does. Think on that one.
Reply:To start off with, never use harsh products on acne, it will only irritate it more. My suggestion is to use more gentler products.

I’ve used stuff from proactive, acnefree, medicated cleansers, expensive department store stuff like sheseido, differin, duac, etc. none of them worked very well for me. Most of them made my skin worse.

Once a week, you should use a facial masque that will suck out all of the oils and impurities from your skin. The one that I use is called "Queen Helene Mint Julep" and let me tell you, this stuff is amazing! I buy it at Sally's Beauty Supply for about 5 dollars for a huge tub of it. This stuff lasts me about 1 1/2 years.

Every morning I wash my face with a clarifying cleanser that I purchase at www.ifeelpretty.com

This cleanser is VERY gentle, and works amazingly, I love it.

For on the spot treatment, (AKA, for a pimple that you need to get rid of FAST, use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque on your pimple overnight, then wash off in the morning, and it will be reduced tremendously

The last and most important thing, is to MOISTURIZE! This is a personal preference of coarse, but for me, I use Olay moisturizers, they are cheap and work.

Hope this helps!
Reply:crayons and a large sack. paint the sack up real pretty and stick your head in it and leave it there.
Reply:There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11...

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

To hide dark circles, you can use YSL concealer or salmon concealer..

Reply:first drink plenty of water, take an eggwhite well wipped and apply to you face a least once a week also drink green tea.Buy a cleanser and moistrizer with glycolic acid and change your pillow case often
Reply:i love and use THREE things EVER DAY, on my ENTIRE FACE:

first, after you wash your face in the shower with a light exfoliant or whatever (Aveeno makes a great one), splash your face with cold water, then use BIORE TRIPLE ACTION ASTRINGENT all over your face with a cotton ball. then, for certain spots that look like they're broken out or might break out, use AVEENO CLEAR COMPLEXION CORRECTING TREATMENT... it is Salicylic Acid, so in my experience you can use it every day and all over your entire face... it is NOT like Clearasil or any of those products that would dry the heck out of your face and make them red and stuff. on top of that, use BIORE PORE MINIMIZING spf15 FACE LOTION. it is amazing-- its super light (and I generally HATE lotion and i don't use foundation or anything on my face, so you can trust me on this one), it doesn't have a smell to it, and as you put it on your face you can literally SEE your pores getting smaller. i was amazed the first time i used it to actually see that the part of my face where i put it looked instantly smoother and shrunk the pores right before my eyes. and you can buy these at any grocery store or pharmacy (Rite Aid, walgreens, walmart, etc.) Good luck!
Reply:try

www.tni.com/hirogiant

Try Noni juice u will be alright
Reply:keep your face clean, don't put too many products on your face.....that just makes your face worse....eat more light food, like less oil, less sugar, less spicy....regular schedule....you definately need beauty sleep between 10 pm to 2 am...you got to change your physical condition, otherwise skin-care products cannot save your face at all.....when you have pimples, do not use your hand to clear it out...NEVER DO THAT....just use some medicine or medical type....whenever your father can support you to see the doc...definately go to see one...
Reply:number one rule for healthy skin is drink water, lay off soda or other drinks with caffeine. I think the best thing is proactive definitely don't stop that. You can try biore pore perfect products, they have a wash, two different kinds of exfoliates (one with heat and the other deep cleaning) and a moisturizer. I use it and have noticed that my pores are getting smaller. Its not working overnight but keep up with it and you will notice a change too. I don't think using a mud mask is a good thing to do that often, that mask can deplete your skin of the oils it needs to be healthy. If you keep wiping out all the oil it needs it will produce more even too much which can cause more clogged pores and acne. Avon puts out a couple of great eye creams and serums that will help with the circles and wrinkles. Some are pricey but if you get them and try them you will love the product. good luck. I also have very red and blotchy skin ,some scars , and used to get pretty bad acne . for the the dark circles and wrinkles i use the Avon cream at night for my eyes . If all that fails go to a department store and talk to the pros there they are usually very nice and can give you other tips and samples to try at home, if you like them you can buy them after. while you are there go to the Prescriptive counter they put out great foundations and they color match it to your skin.

Whats a price estimate as well?

I was told if i use Uhaul it will cost about $1300.

which sounds CRAZY to me.

I am moving from Georgia back to Colorado. What it the cheapest company?
Things is so damn expensive. I really couldn't tell you. I wish I could haul it for you. That would be an adventure. Just wanted to wish you good luck and I hope you find it all good.
Reply:A friend with a truck and a trailer will be the cheapest. Offer to pay for travel expenses (food, gas, lodging) otherwise call around to various companies but $1300 doesn't sound that bad for the small truck. A moving Co. will cost about 5 times as much.

What is the best Queen album ever?

For me its either a Night At the Opera or Queen II (not the greatest hits 2). So how about you?

1 A Night At The Opera

2 A Kind Of Magic

3 Queen II

4 Flash Gordon

5 The Game

Reply:Tough question. It is a matter of taste. I prefer A Night at the Opera because it is the most Progressive album they made. It touches on many musicals styles and shows the bands strengths throughout. There is not one song on that album I skip over. Prophet's Song is, IMO, the best song they ever created.

If you live in the Queens New York area, do you know of the kew motor inn? Recommend any others?

Can you recommend any decent pricing hotel in queens for a romantic night. Kew motor inn has theme rooms %26amp; that's seems pretty cool but they are a little expensive tonight.

If you live in the Queens New York area, do you know of the kew motor inn? Recommend any others?
Thew Kew Motor Inn is probably the best of the overnight motels in Queens. I read some of the other responses, the Par Central is ok and so is the Westway (near LaGuardia airport). Don't use any of the ones on Queens Boulevard in the vicinity of 65th Street (the walls seemed to be paper thin).

Also beware of the motels in the sleazier parts of Queens, like the 1 on 14 Street on Broadway, and any of the cheap ones in Jamaica.
Reply:WOW! It's been 20 years since I've thought about the Kew!

Nope, I can't help you on other places, but the Kew is definitely worth the price.
Reply:Try the Par Central on the corner of parsons Blvd. and Grand Central Pkwy service road. I don't know about themed room but you can make your stay as romantic as you want.

My parents and I will be on the Queen Victoria ( British ship) should we wear Indian clothes on formal nights?

I don't see why not, a Scotsman can wear a kilt or tartan trews on a formal night and I have seen an American gentleman wearing a tartan tux on a formal night.

On a Princess cruise there was a Dutch couple who wore their national dress with clogs on a formal night.

If you wish to wear Indian clothes on a formal night, you can, if you prefer to wear dinner suits and evening dresses, you can. The choice is yours, just enjoy the cruise.

My parents and I will be on the Queen Victoria ( British ship) should we wear Indian clothes on formal nights?
no, wear whatever you like
Reply:B indian w Indian T indian thats the way to go.......B yo self
Reply:You can wear the nicer Indian clothes for the formal nights on the QV. If for some reason the Maitre'd has a problem with the outfit you can always go back to your stateroom and order room service.
Reply:If you are from India and you want to wear your native formal clothes on formal night, by all means do that. We typically take African formal wear on our cruise and wear it on Formal nights. I have two Gran Booboo's that I wear, one with a gold trim and the other with a blue trim.. They are the formal African attire from Ghana.

Formal nights are requested attire and not required attire anyway so as long as you are dressed at least sports casual no one will even pay attention.
Reply:I would suggest that you wear what you like. By your question I take it that you are of Indian birth and culture. Being British, I am sure that if I was on an Indian cruise ship, I would not be obliged to wear Indian apparel, nor would I want to. As i said in my opening sentence, you must wear the clothes of your choice. I am sure that nobody would object.....I certainly wouldn't. I hope that you all enjoy your cruise.
Reply:It depends that what you beleave as Indian clothes. If you wish to wear Dhoti it will not look good but that is for sure that Sari will look very good on your Mom.

I need night in the city suggestions!!!!!?

Ok my friend is coming into town this weekend from Ireland for her birthday! But rent is due next weeks so Im short on cash but I want to show her a great time. I need resonably priced nice / funky/ interesting restaurant suggestions and i also need a good club/disco bar to go to afterwards, Im thinking singles scene, no covercharge or guestlist options!!! help me, I want to make sure she has a blast, see's true Manhattan nightlife but a night that wont leave me out on the streets next month!!!

Dont suggest McDonald though, Im not that poor but looking to get a meal with wine for 30-50 bucks a head! Its gottan be special! Plus its gotta be in the city, I'll take her to places in Queens/Brooklyn on other nights out but for her birthday she wants the city!!!!! Any suggestions???

I need night in the city suggestions!!!!!?
. The NY subway should be interesting tour for an Irish girl. Take her to Fire Island, or Coney Isl. Go to all the 5 bouroughs, well maybe not Statin Isl. and find cheap Irish cafe's or bars near the subway entrance. Go to at least one unusual place in each bourough. "Lightly" sample some of the vendors on the street.

Show her some of the true parts of town, NOT the tourist traps. Of course being SAFE is #1.

Greenwich Village still rocks? Maybe Central Park in the daylight.

She'll be dead tired the next morning and you might still have a few bucks left. Take a camera. ...AND walking shoes! ...AND a can of Mace! '

There’s a “smoking hot” vibe at this “sexy” TriBeCa Spaniard buoyed by “killer sangria”, “candles galore” and “absolutely delicious” tapas (served by an equally “delicious staff”); sure, it can get “cramped”, but no one minds rubbing elbows with this “beautiful” crowd.

I have very little space in my bedroom, how can i solve this?

Very small bedroom with a extremely small closet, currently has a queen bed, dresser and night stand, and suggestions?

I have very little space in my bedroom, how can i solve this?
Linda, is it just you in the bedroom? Consider a double bed if you can stand to downsize. It'll open up some floor space.

A tall chest that's vertical taking the place of a lateral dresser will do the same.

Do you really need access to the contents of the night stand while you're in bed? If not, a floor lamp has a much smaller footprint.

If your furniture allows it, consider adding under-bed drawers or storage bins, and make sure they use every bit of space under there. Hide them with a bed skirt or dust ruffle.
Reply:That's like my room... you're going to have to build "up" instead of "out".

Try looking into a loft bed, with room for a small couch or desk underneath.

You can get some reasonably priced metal or plastic square storage pods and pile them on top of your dresser. I've seen some really nice-priced ones at Target. The pods make it easier to organize things like trinkets and dvds and cd's.

Try putting a bookshelf in the back of your closet, that way you can fold clothes and just arrange them on the shelves for easy viewing. Only hang things that need to be hung, like suits and jackets. You can get a cheaper bookshelf for about $15 - $25 dollars at a discount store like Big-Lots or find one on sale someplace like Wal-Mart.

Hang things on the wall that are light and can be easily hung. Most telephones come with a kit that lets you hang it on a wall. Get a hanging door hook and place it on top of your bedroom door. You can hang the next days outfit, jackets, or even a dirty clothes hamper bag on it. Make sure you get the kind of hook that goes over your door instead of screwing into the actual door. The overhanging ones can hold much more weight.

My room is sooo small too. I actually got a small entertainment center and placed it on top of my dresser, my TV then goes on the top of the entertainment center. It's up really high, almost touching my ceiling, which makes it really easy to see!!! I even got some storage pods and placed them on top of my nightstand, that way i can fit more stuff on there.

Good luck!
Reply:Take everything totally out of your bedroom. Paint the walls.

Clean the carpet or get new carpet.

Get rid of the queen bed, and put in a "single" bed.

Then you can put in a dresser and a chest of drawers, and

still have room for your night stand.

And only put back in the clothes you will need this winter.

Pack the rest in storage, and/or donate the rest to charity.

When you "economize," you have to "improvise." %26lt;}:-})
Reply:Go vertical.

Avoid short squatty furniture that takes up lots of floor space yet leaves the space between the ceiling and the top of the furniture blank.

You can do this by buying two small book shelves and stacking them on top of each other. (Make sure to anchor them to the wall studs to ensure safety.

Put your bed in the furthest corner of the room away from the door and................

Consider raising your bed up on 'stilts'. Just make sure it is high enough that you can put a desk under it for a study area or a small seating area. As long as you dont mind your bed being up high, this will be a hugeeee advantage to gain more floor space. A simple wooden frame and a ladder is all that is needed to achieve this look. You will be like a bird in the nest.... lol... which is kinda cool. :o)

If your bed wont go very high.... still raise it up and just use bean bags underneath for a seating area. Make sure to leave a two to two and a half foot clearance between the bed and the ceiling so you dont bonk your head all the time.

Mount lighting onto the wall so that floor lamps arent taking up the floor space.

Maximize your closet space through utilizing storage bins and drawers. You can put panties and bras and socks in stackable drawers in the closet instead of having lots of dressers in the room. Make sure to use the back of the door in the closet to hang stuff on such as belts, purses, coats and jackets. There are many things sold to clip over the back of the door that help to organize closets. Visit your local Wal-Mart and visit the 'plastic organizer isle'. These things are very inexpensive and help out TONS.

For color scheme in the room.... Use a very simple contemporary design scheme.

Solid colors with a geometrical design would be perfect.

A soft pink on three walls with a chocolate brown accent wall would look great....and make the room look much larger. Small mirrors at eye level will make the room look larger too.

Here is an example of the type of bedding I think would look nice:

Reply:Consider changing your bed to a loft bed. Or, put the bed on risers and use underbed storage. Maximize closet storage with more shelving, even short shelves on the sides within the closet. Start using hangers that have multi-levels; i.e. for multiple pants on one hanger. Use over the door hangers for inside the closet door.
Reply:You need a smaller sized bed. The queen bed is taking up too much room.
Reply:Loft- Put your bed up in the air on 4x4 posts. You can then put a desk, or more storage space under it. Just don't sit up too fast, you'll hit your head on the ceiling.

I'm 16, last night I was at a street party and got a ticket for having an open bottle of beer.?

The party was Queen's University homecoming, and I was wondering if the ticket is a criminal offense and will I get a criminal record because of it.

I'm 16, last night I was at a street party and got a ticket for having an open bottle of beer.?
Yes its a criminal offense and you're lucky that's all you got.
Reply:At 16, you are underage to be drinking anything with alcohol in it. It is an illegal act.
Reply:You are just 16 why are u drinking beer. You should have been fined. What do u want to become a drunk at an early age; sounds like this is the path u are on. Stop trying to fit in, just be yourself and u will feel better and wont get in so much troub either.
Reply:Good. What is a 16 year old doing with a open beer? You will probably get public service. Things like cleaning the rest rooms in the county building etc.
Reply:pay it on Monday and plead no contest and it wont be on your record. And don't drink again til you're 21
Reply:yes it is a criminal offense.

If all you got was a ticket consider yourself lucky.

Around here underage drinkers get tossed into a cell until their parents come pick them up.
Reply:perhaps you should of thought about that before you decided to do an illegal act, eh?
Reply:open container in public of an alcoholic beverage is a misdemeanor, no difference in legality than a speeding ticket.

2)Innuendo (The Show Must Go on - Don't Try so hard)

3)A Kind of Magic (Princess of the universe - Who wants to live forever)

4) Queen (Liar - My fairy King)

5) Sheer heart Attack (Killer Queen - In The laps of gods)

Thanks ! Have Fun !

What is the most beautiful album of Queen?
i would go for number 3) a kind of magic, cos i love that song who wants to live forever.
Reply:They were an OK band, but the albums don't really stand the test of time - so for me the Best of Volume 1 is their best "album".
Reply:Sheer Heart Attack is one of the best hard rock albums I have ever heard
Reply:A Kind of Magic, for sure.
Reply:i think it was a night at the opera
Reply:youve got nothing to apologise for..........a day at the races,is pretty good, but 'beautiful'......innuendo
Reply:It's all propaganda
Reply:I think that Sheer Heart Attack is their best actual album, yet I enjoy listening to their Greatest Hits 1 more.

I have a queen mattress set and bought and Ikea bed frame?

We set it up last night, but I'm not sure if the two go together. We assembled this weird center metal piece that connects to the sides and has a middle bar. I looked under the bed this morning and the bed isn't sitting on the side rails but insead is resting on this contraption in the middle. Is that how its suppose to work, the bars are bent from the weight but its holding up it just squeeks and doesn't seem right to me.

Has anyone else put an american mattress and box spring on an Ikea bed frame using this metal center contraption (hamar)?

I have a queen mattress set and bought and Ikea bed frame?
Maybe you need to get the slatted bed platform thing that sets inside the frame. Not all bed frames are the exact dimensions and this would distribute the weight of the mattress.

Has anyone done A Midsummer's Night Dream before?

I'm doing one right now. I'm one of the faries. One of my freind's is the fairy queen and the other is Phillostrate. If you were in it who were you and what is your favorite scene out of the play?

Has anyone done A Midsummer's Night Dream before?
I was Quince--as a woman. My favorite scene was the play at the very end. But my favorite that I wasn't in was the one where helena and hermia are at each other.
Reply:About a gazillion years ago, I had the pleasure of tackling a Rude Mechanical: Peter Quince.

To this day, I still think that the Rude Mechanicals are the best part of the play, and this is after I portrayed Demetrius, Oberon and Lysander in various productions.
Reply:I had the role of Bottom, the magicked enthusiastic amateur actor who was transformed into an *** and beloved of the fairy queen. It's an enchanted role, and the scenes with the fairy king and queen and Puck were great fun. I also enjoyed the play that the amateur theater troop puts on for Theseus and Hippolyta--lots of opportunities for slapstick and silliness!

Does the Heat loss last night prove they are better off without him?

It seems the Heat play better without Dwayne Wade in the lineup. Mayber they don't like the way this drama queen exaggerates his injuries. I think they are a better team without him as long as they still have Shaq. He is the real reason Dwayne and Kobe have rings.

Does the Heat loss last night prove they are better off without him?
AGREE.......
Reply:i think they are with wade is because he is coming from an injury
Reply:obviously not....

they are SO obviously not better off with one of their top 2 players on the bench.

If there's a chemistry issue...which i really don't see (seeing in part as they won the Championship last year) the other players in question should be riding the pine
Reply:i dont know...the heat are a good team anyway but it was

wade's first game back and he hasnt played for a month

when he is back to normal hell be scoring his 20-30 points a game
Reply:he was coming off of a dislocated shoulder....hes probably not 100% himself again. If you have watched ANY of dwayne wades games other than last night, you must know that he plays amazing and in the 4th quarter is ussaly when he finishes the game with loads of great shots allowing his team to win. They won the Championship last year.....Alone Dwayne Wade would not be great, but with Shaq and great shooters such as Jason Kapono who won the 3 point shootout this year at the All star game make a great combination that allows them to win games.
Reply:if they only had shaq last year and no wade they wouldn't off beat the mavericks in the finals.
Reply:hahaha...yeah...they lost to the bobcats...and the bobcats are pretty bad. anyway, wade just came back from a dislocated shoulder, so he may need sometime to warm up, get used to the game, etc. i think he and shaq working together would be better, but that's just me.
Reply:You're either really jumping to conclusions or you just felt like dumping on Wade because you're insecure about him being better than your favorite player.

When healthy, Dwyane Wade is a top 10 (and probably top five) talent in the NBA, no questions asked. Considering everything he's done for the franchise, including being the best and most important player on a championship team a year ago, there's no way they're better off without him on the court.

It's just one game. If he gets anywhere close to full strength in time for the playoffs, I think his performance will probably answer your question with a very firm "no."
Reply:no, because he is still their best player. This just proves that they played a harder team, wade was rusty, and the team isn't used to wade in the lineup yet
Reply:You tell it straight. Shaq is the common denominator in the Laker-Heat Championships.

I will disagree on your assessment of the Heat though. Roles are the most important thing in successful team hoops. When they are defined...the team will usually have success. Wade coming back altered those roles that the Heat were settling into. It can take a game or 2 ....or 3 for it to re-adjust. You take a step back in order to take 4 more forward. While he may arguably be a cry baby..(the wheelchair was a bit excessive)..the Heat are obviously better with Wade than without.
Reply:exaggerates his injuries?

HELLO! HE DISLOCATED HIS SHOULDER.

he SHOULD have has surgery, instead of waiting until the off season, and he exagerates his injuries?

especially compared to shaq, who doesn't get off his *** unless he absolutely HAS to?

are you dumb?!
Reply:For the time being yes, THey are like .700 with him and .550 for the entire season. He missed 6/12 free throws and shoots like 85% for the season.

After he gets the kinks out in the next few games, he will probably overall help the team. But they are playing their best basketball of the season without him. They have learned to play better without him. They will need to revert back to their old play style and ultimately, might be their demise in the first round of the playoffs.
