Hmm...maybe you could rig up a house that follows a rainbow and goes from some farmland (bales of hay) to Munchkinland.
Reply:Place Dorthy and Toto at the front on a stationary bike. Have witch and monkeys in the back chasing her.

or

build a small house that falls on the witch, Cut out area where witch will Lay.
Reply:Make the float Munchkin land....yellow brick road, giant oversized flowers and the witch popping up out of a trap door in the base of the float. A tornado twirling in the background.

Munchkins popping out of windows and doors of houses. Dry ice fog for smoke when witch pops out. Hot air balloon with the Wizard of Oz in the basket. Have a cast of characters walking beside the float, Dorothy with a basket carrying a toy dog, or a real dog. Scarecrow, Tin man, Lion. Maybe a few kids dressed up as munchkins. Use toy monkeys, make fake wings for them and hang them with wires over Munchkinland float.
Reply:How about a yellow brick road with a pair of sparkly red shoes (oversized, of course) that tap their heels together.
Reply:Is she a good queen or a bad queen? If she is a good queen, (and your theme is the Wizard of Oz), she would need to be in a bubble...remember Glenda? It would be cool if you could rig up a "melting" of the Wicked Witch. Have your Dorothy with a bucket (no water in it), to pretend throwing water on the Wicked Witch, and then the floor beneath the Witch goes down, producing a "melting" effect...like they actually did in the movie.

Hope this helps... :-)
Reply:You may want to check, but I'm not sure that Wizard of Oz won any oscars.
