What brand is the best mattress you've ever slept on?

My husband and I are looking for a new queen size mattress bc ours is now 10 years old. We are both quite large... he's 6'4", about 270lbs and I'm 5'9", about 250lbs. He has a very physically demanding job and gets back pain often. I just want a good nights sleep. We really don't know if we like a firm or soft matress, nor do we know what we really need. Any help would be appriceated greatly! Thanks.

My husband and I used to have a temperpedic mattress that he bought over 10 years ago. It was FANTASTIC. The warranty was about to expire, and the mattress had some cracking, so we had it replaced. The new bed has caused me HORRIBLE lower back and hip pain. Every morning I have had to get out of bed immediately upon waking because the pain was so terrible. We have finally purchased a new latex bed, and are awaiting it to come, so unfortunately I have no review on that yet, but I am hoping it will be the answer I have been looking for. Anyway, my point is, temperpedics are NOT for everyone. (my husband still loves it though)
Reply:Only YOU can determine which is the most comfortable type of mattress . . and it is almost always a trial %26amp; error process. Consider firm talalay latex with a wool fleece pad.

Reply:The best one I've slept on has to be one with polyester filling and NO SPRINGS, dang those springs when they pop up, they god damn hurt your side.
Reply:Gort's got the answer. That's why ALL mattress stores allow you to try out their products.
