Is there any law or regulation in Oregon against putting an infant to sleep in the middle of a bed in a hotel?

She is 4 months old, she cannot roll over yet and she never moves much at night in her crib. Our hotel room has two queen-sized beds, and we don't want to have to break down her crib to haul it to Oregon and reset it up if we don't have to. We are perfectly secure and unworried about having her sleep on the bed, but we want to be sure we will be legally safe in making such a decision.

I live in Oregon and have worked in many Hotels. As far as I know there are no such rules. Nobody does a bed check to make sure where your infant is sleeping.
Reply:If there is such a law, and it applies to hotels ONLY, it would be illogical. I can't answer your question any better than that, and I'm certainly not going to make any judgments about whether it's "right" for you to do so---Not my business. Have you thought of letting her sleep in her carrier, or buying a bassinet or something else portable for the trip?
Reply:No one is doing bed check. It is the privacy of your own hotel room.
Reply:Never heard of such a silly law, and most hotels offer cribs either for free , some are small fee.
