Besides "A Night At The Opera" , what are the best Queen albums to have and in what order should I get them?

Course, their live concert albums rock too...and you get a lot of variety-- Live Killers and Live from Wembley are really great albums.





But of course, the mystic of Queen is that their music is so diverse that you'll find you'll have to buy all the albums to get all the songs!
Reply:Gee...just get them all! I really like the first album...listening to it right now! The first time I heard it I could believe it was by a new group. They were so synchronized...pure perfection.


A lot of people like QUEEN II. For me it's not as good as the first, but it has "Seven Seas of Rhye" which is one of my all time favorites.


I think before I go nuts here and mention every album you might be better off buying QUEEN Greatest hits I %26amp;II and find out what you like. Also a great value is the Crown Jewels which is every album up to "The Game". They come in a blue velvet box.


If you can find a copy of "QUEEN Rocks" it has more of their heavier stuff. If you're in the mood for a tear jerker then try "Made In Heaven" which was produced after Freddie's death.

Reply:I agree, Sheer Heart Attack is great. along with News of The World, and Queen I and II, those are their hardest albums. Try this order:





Sheer Heart Attack (has a strong, neo-classical feel to it)





News of the World (each member of the band shows off here. also, very important in the development of arena/stadium rock)





A Day At The Races (lyrically, probably their best work)





Queen I (rough, but some flashes of brilliance)





Queen II (their darkest and most artistic)





The Miracle (another nice, even album)





Innuendo (very dark, because of Freddie's impending death, but brilliant nonetheless)





Jazz (all of the place, but still very good)





these are their best. the Game isn' t really that great, Hot Space has about three good songs on it, and the same with A Kind of Magic
