What do you think of this poem?

How beautiful the Queen of Night, on high

Her way pursuing among scattered clouds,

Where, ever and anon, her head she shrouds

Hidden from view in dense obscurity.

But look, and to the watchful eye

A brightening edge will indicate that soon

We shall behold the struggling Moon

Break forth,--again to walk the clear blue sky.

very nice. I like the higher-style of language. Some people think poetry today should be all couched in modern speech - dumbed down, in other words - but a little bit of dignity to the words goes a long way in establishing style.

kudos to you!
Reply:Very good writing! I would guess that you are influenced by Poe and Longfellow, among others. Go to the Reference section of the library and read in "The Poets' Market" to see how to sell your work or Google %26lt;poetsmarket.com%26gt; and %26lt;writersmarket.com%26gt;.
Reply:Is it about the moon?At first i thought it was about a woman but then i realized it's either about the moon or the sun.
