What is the highest note sung by "Queen of the Night" in Magic Flute?

In Mozart's opera, in the final aria by the Queen of the night what is the highest note that she sings?

What is the highest note sung by "Queen of the Night" in Magic Flute?
high F
Reply:My Mozart, it's the freaking high F! After the high C!

Some could only manage a screech, but for those singers who can reach that pinnacle, I bow to thee! Three times!
Reply:High f above High C

If you are familiar with the treble clef in music notation the top line represents the noteF. The note that sits on top of the line would be G, then a written in line which is A, the next note that sits on the written in line is B, then another written in line is C. The F is 4 notes higher that that. If you know music than this is boring and I apologize.

There are some arias written for high coloratura Sopranos that go up to the F but they are not as popular as the "Queen of the night". Another opera where the soprano sings very high is the Abduction from the Seraglio(not sure of the spelling) by Mozart. When I first started getting interested in Opera I was amazed at the vocal ease and musical precision that Beverly Sills and Roberta Peters displayed in performing this aria. This is just my opinion
Reply:F6, I think - as in the F above the stave, not the F that's written on the highest line of the stave. This is high enough to be outside the range of the average soprano.

Oh, and despite common belief, notes this high aren't restricted to trained operatic coloraturas: I can hit the F when warmed up, and I've never had a singing lesson, let alone operatic training.
Reply:Jim T is right, high F. there are other works that show off a coloratura's abilities up in that range as well. two of the most difficult were written by the late Romantic composer, Richard Strauss. In an earlier work, Ariadne auf Naxos, the character, Zerbinetta, sings a high F sharp. A later opera, Arabella, has the Fiakermilli ( a sort of coachman's groupie) all up and down the scale, arriving at the F and F sharp.

My hat is off to the ladies who manage the heights!
